Trying to fly a kite
Ok so I am horrible at posting new blogs. I can look at others all the time but to sit down and update mine isn't always on my list. So last Sunday it was a little windy out so we thought we would try and fly Ryan's kite. Well the wind stopped as we pulled up to the park. After Mike running around the field a few times and wearing himself out we decided that maybe today wasn't the best day to try and fly a kite. I did get a few pictures though.

Cubs Game
Yesterday we got to go to the Cubs game and it was so much fun. Ryan had a blast. He could run around and be outside. It was a little on the warm side but we managed. After the game we went to my brother-in-laws for a birthday dinner for him where Ryan ran even more. Needless to say he crashed last night and is still asleep as I type this.

Last Weekend
Ok so I am a little late posting this but last weekend we went to the cabin in Heber with my parents. We had so much fun. We also froze!! The first night it was in the 30's and 25mph winds. The second afternoon it was still in the low 40's but no wind so we were able to let Ryan play outside. My parents had never been to the cabin and they so enjoyed it. They really needed a weekend away to relax. Although how do you relax with a 18 month old running around? I guess when it is your grandkid and you are at a beautiful cabin you just relax!!! So here are a few pictures from our weekend. I will post more pictures tonight of our fun day we have planned. Today is my brother-in-laws birthday and we are going to the cubs game just like we do every year. I can't wait to take Ryan. Last year he was almost 7 months old and really didn't care. This year he will have more fun and I might be exhausted from it. Thank goodness my niece will be there to keep him entertained.

Congrats!!
So my brother is in the process of getting his private pilots license's. This week he got to fly solo. Its a little bit of mixed feelings. We are so proud of him but at the same time scared to death because he is up in the sky's all alone. I am just so happy for my brother. Next month he will get his instruments license's (that means he can fly in the clouds), and then he will go for his commerical license's. Congrats Matt we are so proud of you. Here is a picture of us celebrating Friday night. Sorry mom and dad and I didn't make it is in the picture.
