Pumpkins

About 3 months or so ago Mike and Ryan planted pumpkin seeds in a pot outside. Mike figured that they would never grow but did it anyways. To our surprise about a week after planting them we got spouts. So mike transplanted them and put them in two different spots in our backyard. Now mind you, he had to types, giant and regular size pumpkins. Well went you plant these with a 2 year old the seeds get mixed up. So Mike had no clue which was which when he planted them.
Well these things have taken off. They grow faster that weeds do. I guess when they start growing you have to get rid of the ones that don't look as good and only keep 1-2 plants. That way they will thrive the most. Otherwise they kill each other. So after 3 months we have about 6 pumpkins growing. About 3 weeks ago we noticed that we were getting a bunch of really pretty flowers growing....we thought....Um no. We learned that where ever there is a flower a pumpkin will grow....oh no we might have a pumpkin patch starting grow now!!

This picture doesn't do justice. It is about 12 feet long and the leaves are about 8-12 inches in diameter. This is our giant pumpkins.
This one is a bit smaller. It is about about 5 feet long and the leaves are much smaller.

Here is one of the pumpkins. It is about he size of an apple right now. I will keep you posted on the growth. Mike's goal is to have a pumpkin big enough he needs a tractor to get it out.

One Week Old

I can't believe our little girl in one week old already. She is such a sweet little thing. She is doing so well too. She probably loves her dads voice the most. No matter where he is she here's his voice and turns her head towards that direction. It is so cute, and of course Mike loves it! She is also in love with her brother, probably because he is so good with her and he caters to her. He always makes sure that she has her blanket (or his, dependng on what he wants) and her binki near by. I still can't believe that we are a family of four finally. I am loving every moment of it.

Tomorrow is the big day though. Mike goes back to work. I am going to be home alone for 24 hours. I know I can do it though. Ryan will help me through it. He is such a big helper. Although I feel bad for him because he has so enjoyed having daddy around all week. They have been the best of buds. Mike has been so good to him all week. It has been so cute seeing them play together so much.

Big brother once again loving on his sister.

First Bath

Last night little Madison's cord fell off...whoohoo. So today Maddie got her first "real bath. She loved it. I kept covering her with a warm wash cloth and she looked so relaxed the whole time. Big brother Ryan watched/helped mommy with the bath.

Taylor's over for dinner

Tonight we had our good friends Jessica, Brad, Haley, and Grant over for a bar-b-que. The kids had so much fun. The weather was beautiful and we were able to play outside the entire time. Ryan had so much fun having kids over his age and showing them all his toys. I wish they didn't live in Casa Grande and were able to come over more often.

All three kids on the scooter. FYI: if you don't have one of these, you need one. They are so much fun. You go by turning the wheel back and forth. And the bonus, it can hold up to 200lbs.
Ryan fell on his face and said he hurt his nose and needed a band aide to made it better. It was so funny seeing the band aide on we had to take a picture. He knew though that if he left it on long enough he would cure the pain.

I have no idea what they were doing but it was so funny. All three kids were lifting there leg and laughing so hard. It's so fun to see kids come up with stuff and get the best kick out of it.

Wow this never happens. All three kids sitting down to eat dinner. Maybe it had to do with the fact we were playing games on who could eat better and that they knew if they ate all there dinner they got a piece of cake. Oh we what we will do to get kids to eat :)

Mowing the Lawn

Ryan loves to help Dad mow the lawn. He follows Mike around on his quad the entire time. It is so funny. Of course today though we had to do it with our shirt off and sunglasses on cause that is what dad was doing.

1st Doctors Appt.

I had to take a picture of Daddy and his little girl taking a nap. Mike loves these times together. Today we went to see Dr. Saba for the first time. She is back up to her birth weight...good girl. She was 7-8 when we left the hospital. Everything checked out good though.

Right after I took this picture they were both sound to sleep!!

First Trip To Grandma and Grandpa Carlton's

For Mother's Day we went to my parents house for dinner. I felt awesome and decided why not venture out a little. Little Missy did so well. Ryan and Daddy went on a walk out in the desert with dogs. My parents had so much fun having a new baby at there house. So far she is doing so well.

I had to put shoes on her. My mom got these for her at christmas.

Ryan giving his sister one of a million kiss he loves to give her.

Madison Lynn

Well Madison finally decided to make her appearance. She came into this world on May 7th, 2010 @ 2:53pm. She weighted 7lbs 13oz. She is so adorable and such a sweet addition to our family. I can't believe she is finally here. Labor went pretty smooth. My water broke around 8am that morning. Mike and I head off to the hospital while my mom watched Ryan. We got everything started around 9am. Heather was our wonderful nurse!!! Labor progressed quite quickly and I had my epidural by 11. At 2:40 Dr. Bullaro was in the room and just moments later she was born. It was such an awesome experience.
Sorry this one is a little out of order. Mike wanted to help deliver her and Dr. Bullaro was all for it. It was so cool!!! He is so proud!

Daddy all dressed up to deliver his little girl.

Our first family photo.

Daddy and his kids. Ryan is so proud and loves her so much. He loves holding her, talking to her, singing and helping mommy take care of her.
