Swimming fun and Cute Dresses
Madison's First Pool Visit
On Sunday we took Madison in the pool for the first time. She LOVED it! I figured she would being that she loves her baths so much. S he just there and enjoyed every moment of it.
All wrapped up in Grandma's arms.
All ready to go. Wow a picture with mom in it.....I don't think we have one of those since the day she was born.

Of course there is big brother in the pool. Good luck getting this kid out of the pool. Ever since swim lessons , all he wants to do is be under water swimming. His new trick on Sunday was to get a piggy back ride from dad and they would go to the bottom of the pool and swim the length of it. Ryan thought it was great.

Really Mom I am not Tired
So today we got home from swim lessons and just like every other day when we get home, we go get our pull up on, get into bed, read a few books and then its nap time. Well today Ryan decieded he didn't need a nap. So I said ok, but you have to have quiet time. So he sat down on the carpet for a moment and the next thing I know he is lying down and sound to sleep. MMM, sometimes mommy know when you really do need a nap!

Fathers Day
Although there is a funny story behind the cake. I guess last night Mike was telling Ryan before he was going to bed, how we were going to bring him lunch at the station the next day and Ryan kept telling him "and cupcakes." Mike figured it was a surprise that Ryan and I had been planning. (I knew nothing about the cupcakes.) Well when I woke up on Father's day I decided to surprise mike and make him a cake. When we got to the station Mike looked surprised and said oh boy cupcakes. I said no just cake sorry. Then he told me what Ryan had said the night before...I looked at Mike and said, I guess the cake really wasn't a surprise then. Boy wouldn't Mike have been disappointed if I had shown up with nothing. Leave it to a 2 year old to come up with a story.

What We Have Been Doing
I am not really sure what we have been doing but it has been a while since I posted. Maybe something to do with a busy 2 1/2 year old and a 6 week old? Today we celebrated Rocco's 1st Birthday!!! I can't believe he is already a year old. I still remembering meeting him for the first time and how little he was. And now he walking, laughing, talking and so much fun to be around.
Ryan and Alyssa going down the slide at Rocco's party. Ryan only went down twice and both times he hated it. The first time we might have made him but the second time he found Alyssa and made her take him down. Maybe by the end of summer he will enjoy it more.
The birthday boy eating cake for the first time. He was so funny to watch. I think he still has cake in his hair!!
We started Ryan in swim lessons last week. Aside from crying from the time we put the bathing suit on at our house till the time we are half way through swim lessons he is doing really well. He can now swim almost the width of the pool, jump off the diving board, jump off the side of the pool and find the wall, and his favorite part....diving for rings. Although it is heart breaking hearing him cry, " why do we have to go mommy," and "I'm not good at swimming." It has so been worth it!! We love Ms. Shelley. (Ryan just doesn't know it yet.)

This picture was taken just before he started doing it by himself. He wanted Alyssa to help him once and then he started jumping by himself. Well its more of a belly flop than anything.
Sometimes grandpa puts too much chlorine in the pool so we have to wear goggles. How can you not smile at that.
Little Miss Madison is 6 weeks old now. She weight's just over 10 pounds. She is doing so well. She is almost sleeping through the night. And by that I mean she goes to bed around 9 and sleeps till 4:30 or 5:00, wakes for a feeding and then back to bed. Ryan at this age was still waking up 3 times during the night. She is starting to smile, and recognize people. I love seeing all the new things she is learning.

Nap Time
After I was done nursing her she looked so cute sleeping. I was able to keep her in the position and grab a few pictures of her. I can't believe she will be 4 weeks on Friday. Time goes so quickly. She is doing so well still. She loves to nap in her swing, stare at her brother, and be outside in the evenings. While she is growing, Ryan is too. We are in the middle of potty training. Today is day 4. So far we have gone pee in the toilet I think 5 times, and haven't had any misses with poop. Yeah!!! Even though we have had LOTS of accidents, he is getting it and we are sooo proud of him. Go Ryan!!
