What We Have Been Doing

I am not really sure what we have been doing but it has been a while since I posted. Maybe something to do with a busy 2 1/2 year old and a 6 week old? Today we celebrated Rocco's 1st Birthday!!! I can't believe he is already a year old. I still remembering meeting him for the first time and how little he was. And now he walking, laughing, talking and so much fun to be around.

Ryan and Alyssa going down the slide at Rocco's party. Ryan only went down twice and both times he hated it. The first time we might have made him but the second time he found Alyssa and made her take him down. Maybe by the end of summer he will enjoy it more.

The birthday boy eating cake for the first time. He was so funny to watch. I think he still has cake in his hair!!

We started Ryan in swim lessons last week. Aside from crying from the time we put the bathing suit on at our house till the time we are half way through swim lessons he is doing really well. He can now swim almost the width of the pool, jump off the diving board, jump off the side of the pool and find the wall, and his favorite part....diving for rings. Although it is heart breaking hearing him cry, " why do we have to go mommy," and "I'm not good at swimming." It has so been worth it!! We love Ms. Shelley. (Ryan just doesn't know it yet.)

This picture was taken just before he started doing it by himself. He wanted Alyssa to help him once and then he started jumping by himself. Well its more of a belly flop than anything.

Sometimes grandpa puts too much chlorine in the pool so we have to wear goggles. How can you not smile at that.

Little Miss Madison is 6 weeks old now. She weight's just over 10 pounds. She is doing so well. She is almost sleeping through the night. And by that I mean she goes to bed around 9 and sleeps till 4:30 or 5:00, wakes for a feeding and then back to bed. Ryan at this age was still waking up 3 times during the night. She is starting to smile, and recognize people. I love seeing all the new things she is learning.
